DizzyDaff Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

s-l1600.jpg Got this plate in an estate sale mixed lot. It's a Godey scene of a courting, dancing couple, and the back plainly says "Royal China Warranted 22 Kt. Gold"
It has a red rim and is fully encrusted surface except for the scene.
I found one exactly like it on ebay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/3632262532...-53200-19255-0&campid=5338722076&toolid=10001
BUT, neither of these have a makers mark, or a royal stamp, which I thought most would have on "Royal".
Is this just a pretty shelf sitter, only worth the $10 ebay seller has it for? s-l500.jpg

Fyi, Godey's Ladies Book was Victorian 1830-1878. The scene on your plate is late Baroque or Rococo, if you prefer. That's a bit earlier, roughly 1723-1759.
