    Hello all,

I am new to this and just researching an old watch that has been in the family for a while. I've done some of my own research but I don't really have the experience and was hoping someone may be able to assist. I am struggling to even date it as I can't seem to line up the date letter, with the style, and with the makers mark so was suspicious that it was faked at some point. It is a key-wound pocket watch. Can't seem to access the movement in any of the usual ways and don't want to force it. Would love any information. Thanks in advance

It's an 18 carat gold mark for London 1877 from the looks. Not sure on the maker though.
