Asking for someone else - could this vase be Clifton?

    The signature sort of looks like it, but the more I look at the more I am not sure.
    By the way, the overlay looks like tarnished silver to me.

    Looks more like 2 t's than an ft, to me.

    Might it say Afton? It also looks like there might be the word Ware under that and 1905. I get an across the pond vibe from this.

    Does look a lot like the example Mill Cove provided.

    That Clifton example on eBay certainly does look like 2 t's as your friend's does, Messi. And yes, with a single crossbar that extends across both uprights.

    I guess i will stand by my ID of Clifton then.

    There are so many marks on that sig, i was starting to wonder what i was looking at! LOL

    None of the marks in Lehner's looks exactly like this one, although 1 is a bit closer than the others.

    I wasn't seeing the C but, if you look closely, there is the lower tail of it showing off to the left. I am confident that you have it.
