Asian style.... something. what is it?

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by beowulf 4242@gmail.com, Jan 27, 2016.

  1. Hello.
My mother passed away recently and I found this while going through her things; carefully packed away but with no documentation, or anything to tell me why she was keeping it. Perhaps just sentimental value, but it is clearly not a tea pot because it has a hole in the bottom. So I joined this forum to ask these questions:

    What is it?

Is it valuable or is it just a souvenir she was keeping?

Thank you for your attention. I am hoping this forum is the right place.

  5. Thank you to everyone who replied. Asian items were never my mom's thing, this must have been a gift she did not have time to give. I am an attempting calligrapher, but in western style.. Still, I will put it on my desk to remember her. Thanks again
