This bowl measures 7.5" x 1.25". There is wear to the top surface, but the base looks brand new IMO. The decoration doesn't look like it was transferred. I think it was hand painted. Any thoughts as to age, origin, or style is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

LOL! What Fig said! I know nothing about it, but I think it's a charming plate -- I don't even mind the orange!

    Joe,
I looked through the goyheberg site linked below and thought that N0. 482 Under made in Japan ( About 1/2 way down page) Might be your mark. although there are some differences, with a little imagination, and a couple cocktails (LOL)it looks close. It just calls it modern Imari Type ware. Take a look.

This is the correct orientation of the mark. A good place to find marks other than gotheborg is this place (though I wish it was a bit easier to navigate):

I know I've seen this mark before, but I'm not sure if it was one I was able to find or not. I'll try to look myself when I have a bit more time later.

I like it, too. The flowers are very pretty and the overall design interesting to look at.

Just bumping this up so it will show up in Mr2real's alerts. He never posted on it again so I'm wondering if he saw the last posts.

The bowl may well be long gone, but I wanted to say thank you for posting the link to that site. Yes, they could use some arrows to cut down on all the back and forth! It feels like I'm playing an old video game.

Yeah, I think because it was set up as a blog it's not laid out to maximize the potential it has for people to use as a reference.

Sometimes I'm able to click on a tag at the bottom of one of the pages and it will line up several (or a lot) of pictures of different marks, but it would be nice to have them all condensed in one spot without all the background on each of the marks. C'est la vie.

Thanks, and welcome to the forums, @Elysian -- You may notice that it was identified as Juzan Gama in post #7 above. But you have added a date, which might help some searcher in the future. This old thread is from 2015. The original poster used to be a regular here but has not signed in since 2017. Still, thanks for participating!
