Asian Amethyst Carved Glass Bowl

    What is the right term here, peking glass, cameo, carved, etched ....
    Looks like a Chinese import, probably not long time ago.

    I agree not old. Try cased, cameo, etched. Years back I got fooled on one where the raised area was enamel.

    I see white at the edges so maybe the base color was dipped in white and then again layered with amethyst?

    I agree recent, but it may not be Asian.
    There is a company in Romania that is making and importing cameo glass.

    It's a good bowl, whoever made it - that technique takes time and effort.

    It's Chinese and very new. I have 2 urns just like this that were purchased at the Bombay co. Still with the label on bottom. Sorry people!
