I'm trying to determine the maker of this art pottery vase. It has a textured surface with animal decorations in low relief running around the side. The mark appears to read SPAIN and 294. Any idea of the manufacturer? Thanks! ... Dave

11-3/4 inches in height, about 4-3/4 inches in diameter at its widest point.

Thanks. I know little about the subject but suspect you will never be able to find out for sure who made it-just not enough info online to match up with the vague info you give on it. If maker was a larger, established firm they'd put a name or logo on it I think, so you are probably looking for a small pottery of which there may be thousands in Spain. If most of their small potteries are in one particular area where the clay is good, maybe that would be good enuf?

At least there is another one out there on the internet that I can find. The pinterest link goes to a long dead ebay listing. I managed to snag the links with out having to sign in at pinterest.

No ID, that I could see. It's always possible one with an original sticker will turn up someday.

This vase has that mid century look of something that Raymor or Rosenthal Netter would have marketed.

At first I thought the animals were Egyptian dogs, but noticed they have hooves, so must be some kind of deer, antelope or.....?

I just purchased a vase very similar to this in coloring, however it is horses and Spanish soldiers on it. The bottom is marked Spain 293! Any idea of value, it does look old!

We'd need good photos, need to know exact condition, measurements, etc. and it would still just be someone's guess. We kind of shy away from valuations here, but based on your description, it is worth what u paid for it.
