    Any ideas? It's 8" tall and has a ground and polished pontil. Thanks 000000aDSC07686 (1).jpg 0000000aDSC07687 (1).jpg

I know NOTHINK about this sort of thing, but my design instincts are rebelling against those applied handles.......................

Uds Lud!!!! You obviously haven't gotten the memo that Mansons is not to be taken seriously at best, ignored at worst!

As is said, I KNOW nothing, but the handles looked odd to me, not in keeping with other pieces that I have seen. I did not mean to belittle the piece. PLEASE forgive me!

I shall now slink off to the corner and mea cupla all through luncheon.

I will learn to keep my mouth shut, I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut,I will learn to keep my mouth shut........................

    Hi Mansons,
The good thing about reaching our age is we not not have to apologize. I agree the vase is beautiful without the handles. If they were gold or platinum it would help. The plain glass just does not do it for me.

I think I have some chrome bumper paint I could use on the handles. :joyful:

It's gray/black and looks like lead.

So, it is some sort of metal threading and not glass?

Doesn't this look like those threaded Kralik pieces?

    Bob,

Kralik, Pallme Konig, Poschinger and Rindskopf all had a Threaded decor. If this is a metal overlay, I'm stumped LOL

I think he is describing the color & not how it is made.

Do you think this is a match? Does yours have three handles?

No, it's glass. It just resembles lead in the coloring.

Aha! I claim partial vindication! That third handle makes all the difference in the design. It now looks "proportional" to me. I'm sorry that I did not inquire before spouting off..................

Some says yea, some says nay..........I just have to control myself and be more appropriate. Can't tell you how many times I have thought to edit a comment and was unable to because I had let too much time pass.
