Are these earrings bakelite?

Evening everyone, do these look like bakelite? the look swirled.. clip

It's more likely lucite, but do the baking soda test to be sure. Dunk a damp cotton swab in baking soda and rub the back of the earring hard. Sniff the rubbed area while you're rubbing and if it's bakelite it'll stink like formaldehyde and the q-tip will turn yellow or brown. The color isn't conclusive, tobacco smoke will do it too, but the smell is.
