Are the necklace beads angel skin coral?

Hi everyone,

I picked up this necklace recently in a bag with a couple of other pieces and I am wondering if it could be angel skin coral beads? I ask as I haven't had them before and notice these beads have a pink tint throughout, including a whorl pattern on some, and some have slight pitting.

I can't find any stamps on the clasp but did wonder thoughts on the age of the piece too.

I think they may be shell based on the way some of them have circular coloring. Also, they are roughly carved, I would expect better of Angel Skin Coral. JMHO

Could they be quite old and that is why they are more roughly carved?

 

Yes, let's wait for the others. Angel skin coral can be difficult to identify, and it has a few lookalikes.

No, but the bead shape can depend on the origin.

I said "conch shell" right off, and the more I look the more "shell" they become.
