    I bought a higher end Lighthouse archival binder with ultra pro polypropylene three pockets pages. I thought I had the best of the best but what the heck is going on? The binder sits upright in a dust cover sleeve so the card aren't laying down on top of each other. The pages look bowed and my cards are now bowed as well.... What am I supposed to do? I love binders because I can find what I want easier than a box. But I don't want to damage my cards....

    I use BCW 3 ring binder pages for my paper money collection and have had no problems. I see BCW makes the 3 pocket pages also.......... I'm not promoting Amazon but this is the first that came up in search. Just to show you some info on the BCW pages, you can search around and probably get a better price on them (also can try eBay):

    I use 3 ring binder for paper money but lay them down.
    The ones I buy are designed for Philatilists for putting first day covers in (FDC)
    Never had a problem.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    The plastic in this type of page is going to bow a bit if you store them upright in a binder, because of gravity, but they might also bend a bit even if lying flat. I'm not sure. I store antique photographs in that type of binder and pages. I also have a couple hundred postcards. They are now stored in archival boxes because I was running out of binders. Each postcard is in its own sleeve.

    I think for postcards, the plastic is bending from both sides and that process is stronger than the postcard stock can withstand. Also, depending on where you live, it's possible that humidity is playing a role.

    I now keep all albums resting on their sides. Another thing I do is try to buy pages that have a layer between the two sides. I like the ones with a black layer, when I can find them. Also, some album pages have plastic that is more stiff than others. The one that Rayo linked might be one of those.

    That's all for now!

    @Figtree3
    Mine have the black partition so you can use both sides.

    That is the type of thing I meant. Thanks for the demonstration!

    I agree some binder pages are more rigid than others. I sit my binders of cards flat and also use old library card catalogs for my postcards. I keep the card catalogs drawers full so there isn't a lot of room for movement of the cards.
