    Hello!
My parent's originally purchased this lamp back in the 1947/1948 time frame. What little I've been able to find it was made in Japan shortly after WWII and was imported by the Ardalt Company.
I would like to find out what it is potentially worth and/or where is the best place to go to put it out in the market-place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice that the original shade is intact. Assuming excellent condition, would think worth a couple hundred or so to the right person. Finding that person may be difficult depending on where you are. In or near a big city, you might try craigslist of facebook marketplace. Ebay with pick up only could also work. Out in Timbuktoo, you have a problem. In my semi-rural Midwest location, I might never find a buyer for that at any price.

Interesting, well preserved piece with historical context. We assisted both Germany and Japan rise from the ashes of a devastating war. Within 10 years both were well on their way to manufacturing relevance once again. As with most collectibles - the back story is important.... these items have that IMO.

Thank you all for your inputs/comments. I guess it won't hurt to put it up on eBay with a "local pick up only" option. I'm in the greater Cincinnati area so we'll see what happens!
