Arabic box, with writing

Any idea what this is or says? This thing is pretty heavy. Wood overlayed in whatever this metal is. Came with cupholders which i dont think are a part of this box as those say made in usa gregorian, and also they look newer.

I can't tell from your pictures, but the box maybe silver plated.

Will a deck of cards fit inside the box?
Possibly a box to hold 2 decks of cards.

Dimensions are always helpful.

 

Looking again, with the wood lining, may have held cigars. Again just guessing with no size given.

 

11 inches across, there is a divider in the middle so 5.5 inches on each side. after further inspection i still cant really place age or material. i dont think its very old but it feels heavy/handcrafted but im really not sure. anyone have an idea where i can get this translated?
