Anything special about this tile?

    Greetings. Hope everyone is doing well. Wanted to ask you if there is anything special about this tile. It is 6”x6”. I posted it for sale and in one day it got over 150 views.     There are a lot of tile collectors. The acid test is how many of the viewers then watched it. My thoughts are like yours, it doesn't look particularly old.

    Pattern seems too precisely repeatable for hand painting. If you look at it with a magnifier/eye loupe, can you see tiny dots in the dark glazes? - Joe

    That indicates the design is offset lithographed, and likely a fairly modern tile (afaik). Maybe others have a better idea how early this was used on tile like this.

    I'd think it was a contemporary decorative item like these.
