Found these this morning at a local thrift store - took 1 look & had to buy them! They are some of the most unusual chairs I've seen! They remind me of come chinese/oriental chairs I've seen in the past, but without the colors & stone(?) inset.
The seat comes off so I'm hoping someone can tell me the age - and anything else - of them? I noticed the seat support are cut to fit the corners - is that hand made?
Thanks for any help, as always!

Wonder if they are old chairs from the 1800s, or chairs from the 1970s, that someone has painted black. Then come back and painted the different sections with marble paint.
    Interesting chairs.

The basic style is renaissance revival. Have never seen any painted like this so unsure of age or origin. Is the stone real? If so, possibly Italian from the last 50 years.

Agree with brad, could be Italian. Fun chairs.
I can see why you thought Chinese, the legs look a bit like small Chinese lanterns.
