Anyone recognize this marking on the bottom of a ceramic santa head?

    IMG_0847.jpg Would love to hear if you do. Trying to sort through my grandmother's items...keep / donate. So far it has all been "keep". So much history here.

    yes of course...sorry for that. Possibly someone's personal creation but the marking was odd and my Grandmother had it boxed rather elaborately so thought I'd check.

    Looks more like a turban than a Santa hat he’s wearing.

    The face and the whiskers are definitely Santa, though. I believe it was a mold for hobbyist painting.

    That does appear to be a turban. A photograph of the entire item from both the front and side would be helpful. Along with the measurements. Is it a cookie jar?

    "an artist in DeKalb, Illinois" sounds like either a small local producer or one of those "ceramic painting" shops.
