I'm just starting to collect antiques and I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I know it's edwardian but what is it used for and what material is it? Thanks in advance for any info. Really looking forward to learning as much as I can about antique jewelry in particular ☺️

As you don't give size, hard to determine exact usage but... It appears to be a little decorative dish produced to commemorate Edward VII's accession to the throne in 1902. So yes, truly Edwardian. Lots of similar wares were produced at the time, mostly in china. Yours looks like it might be brass. His effigy appears to have some verdigris which should be dealt with.
