Anyone familiar with signed K. Smith Oil Painting ?

    Any infor on the artist K. Smith? Thanks. Found a Kay smith but she mostly does watercolor not sure if that’s the same artists

    Although the signature is different with the 'K' being 'Kay' - there is still a lot of similarities in the 'Sm'. She is a living artist so you could message her. This might be an earlier work. https://kaysmithartist.com/

    Those look 1970s/1980s cusp decorative.

    Could easily be from 1950s-1960s too. My grandmother was painting this type of art in the fifties.

    It's certainly in the style of the 1950s/1960s but I do think a tad later. Frames appear to be 1970s/1980s and I'd expect pickled if earlier.

    Ah, well, I still continue to disagree with date. I think the "raised" painting surface (e.g. impasto) supports the 1970s/1980s cusp date. I also think the seller has misidentified the frame as being "Hand Carved."

    Ditto. And they say "listed artist". Listed where, and who is it? If the artist is listed, why doesn't the seller give info on the artist?
