Anyone can help me here?

In my previous career, i was dealing with commercial property, and i was also trying to attract Norwegian investors to the UK- but that is a long story not to be told here. However, i was at the time, also buying some property related items in the UK, to frame and hang on the wall (at least i believe that it was property related).

I think i bought this in the 1970's - and i was always proud to have it framed and hanging on my wall, but since my change of work it has been stored in the attic - for at least 30 years now...

But the problem now is; i am getting to old, and do not remember any more what it is, nor the value at the time i bought it. Further, it is framed with glass on both sides, it is heavy, and big, and not easy to ship to UK, where i beleive the market would be, unless i know there is a value here, and an interest from others.

So i am reaching out on the forum here, is there anyone that can help me with these questions, and if it is worthwile to ship to the UK for selling there?

It looks like a lease agreement of some kind. Unless someone famous is involved I've never heard of them being too valuable. It's a neat thing to have though, especially if you live on the patch where the houses involved sat. I'm seeing dates from the 1880s, so the houses might even still be there.

 

I agree... looks like a lease to the address 56-58 College Street, Chelsea (in London). Septimus Pierce is leasing the property to Harry Curtice. I found Septimus living at that address in 1876, his occupation listed as Esquire. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/24300/page/1254/data.pdf

The value would be very limited. As evelyb30 said, it would be of interest to people living right in that area, especially on the same property.

 

That is what i suspected - as these documents could be found quite frequently i remember (maybe still offered everywhere). I agree that it is a neat peace to have - but it is huge, and it will have to go... but then i will find a buyer who can appreciate it here, but thanks anyway for all your help here! It is always highly appreciated!
