Anybody know about this giant mirror

    4.5 feet x 3.5 feet carved double oval mirror as far as i can find but i cant find a mirror like it anywhere it has double glass too the inside glass is crackled with age any ideas on age or value anyobe

    yes better.....but if you go back to the post ...edit...& click on FULL IMAGE....those using fartsmones...will be much happier !

    Looks like it was rudely white washed...or painted...hiding that nice wood finish...

    could we see the reverse please...? :happy::happy:

    I have to take a pic of the reverse its in storage i can do it tomorrow first thing .. i have no idea of antiques but am picking up bits it was shabby chic painted i wonder whats underneath il get proper pics up tomorrow im on my mobile phone trying to do this do you think its a rare one

    I know nothing about it i bought it from a lady with a table too on an ads site locally but ive no info except for the size but pics tomorw for you because i cant find it anywhere the 4 places it meets look like lion heads

    Exactly i found that mirror louis xv double oval gilted mirror but is that wood or gold ? My mirror has hold lines here and there but could be but its wood so im confused

    Ah ok so maybe hopefully gold gilding underneath will u need more pics to tell someone definately painted it in cream worn paint
