    Hi All!

    Happy New Year!!

I've searched & searched but have had absolutely no luck determining what this is. I'll search & give up for a month or so and then search again:)

It's brass or bronze, approximately 10" tall. Closest I've found are pocket watch holder or Advitya Brass Jhula Swing.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Hoping someone might be able to help. Thanks for looking!

Delightful-can't say I've encountered many 'Advitya Brass Jhula Swings'.But apparently millions of folks like to take their chosen deity out to play occasionally!
I guess you could put your saint of choice on this for R&R,all depends on how cool your Bishop is i suppose.

But I don't think that is what the op's is. All of the examples I have found of Krishna and Radha on their swing have chains hanging from 2 parallel points, not the triangular configuration.

I wonder if it was some sort of hanging oil lamp?

Thanks so much for your replies! The pin cushion was there when I bought it - yard sale - owner had no idea what it might be. Haven't found any pocket watch holders with chains that would allow the watch to sway...and no way it could be cradled unless there is a missing part. Agreed it does have an Eastlake vibe, but I'm certainly not a expert on that period. I've included a few photos from a side angle.[IMG] [IMG]

to my eye the 4 chains look excessive to not be holding any weight...

Don't know what it is, but wedding rings laying on the cushen under the (love) heart would look beautifull.

    Beatifull object.

Definitely not a watch holder. It'd just drop off.
