Any thoughts/info on 'Pondering Chimpanzee' painting on velvet?

    I got this yesterday at a local thrift store - it's a painting on velvet of a chimpanzee that seems deep in thought.

    It's unsigned, but for some reason it made me think of Banksy?

    Any thoughts on it or artist would be appreciated.

    Mine is inly 16" x 12" - the one in link is 15" x 19"
    It feels & looks like paint to me?
