Any information on this Asian red clay planter?

    Hello!

I recently acquired this planter from a local thrift store. It is 15 cm from the base to the rim and approximately 28 cm across. However, with it having no markings, I have not been able to find any information on it. I am mostly curious on how old it might be. I imagine it's probably not too old, but I still think it is gorgeous. :)

It came with the wicker basket insert, which fits rather perfectly and even curves with the bowl's bottom; however, with the bowl having a drain hole, I imagine the wicker is not related to the bowl, and there should have instead been some sort of underplate.

Any information on this would be appreciated!

Oh, that is pretty. I don't think that's a drain hole, which is place in the base usually. Perhaps it's for some electrical cord -- I'm thinking one of those water feature things that were popular some years ago -- little burbling fountains, etc.
