Any info on silver? vintage Rolls Royce on glass base desk top pen holder?

    I found this last week at a local thrift store - it's a silver(?) vintage rolls royce on a thick glass base desk top pen holder I think?
    It has a small plaque that says Made in Italy, but no maker's mark that I can find - is this something special or just a chatzky?
    PS - it measures 6" x 5"

    There's a rose emblem on the door of the car. Something to do with the Rose Bowl Parade maybe?

    I think it is the same rose as on the made in Italy sign. The symbol of the manufacturer? Maybe the car desk set is an executive gift?

    My guess would be zinc, or such, with silver plating.
