I got this table for free from neighbors when it didn't sell at a yard sale. I have dragged it with me for over 40 years from place to place. It now occupies pride of place in my entryway. I had the inlay repaired and the top coated to protect it last year, so it's hard to see with the shine. I am curious about when this might have been created. Any help would be appreciated IMG_0165 (Small).JPG IMG_0160 (Small).JPG IMG_0161 (Small).JPG IMG_0168 (Small).JPG IMG_0171 (Small).JPG IMG_0169 (Small).JPG IMG_0170 (Small).JPG t IMG_0165 (Small).JPG

Beats me but my first reaction was to laugh at it. The design appeared 'gawky' and the legs mis proportioned.
I do have an odd sense of humour.

Thank you. They were posing yesterday (they do that a lot), so I took a picture of them. Cosette and her little sister, Riley, are Traditional Siamese, as was Kiko.

And perfectly, they really are stylish models. Very nice that you remember Kiko in this way, I hope I remember to use the name every time I reply. If you don't mind, that is.

I loved Kiko. She was a very special cat. So full of love. She died in June, and I miss her terribly. Please use her name.

Yeah, agrees. The burl (probably walnut) on top is quite striking, I'd keep it, small tables are very handy around the house.

I am seeing similar 6 legged parlor table made by Kiel furniture. Not saying yours is by them, but if you Google 6 legged parlor or side table, there don’t seem to be too many.

Agree with the 20s-30s date. This oblong shaped table was perfect for holding the elongated radios of the day. Consequently, you sometimes see them billed as such.

VeryBrad. Your furniture knowledge is astonishing. I marvel at the fact that you would know what this table is for. I can see now why the burl is so wide and long. I would provide the perfect frame around a big, long radio. Thanks so much for taking a look and sharing your expertise.

    I will.
I still miss my cats, who all died years ago, after a good life. They were all very sociable, real people cats, and would come running when I came home. One of them would beg to be picked up, and then put her front paws around my neck and hug my face.
Another would always check that my husband didn't work too long and would come to get him to sit in the living room when he got tired. Never at a fixed time, but always when she felt his energy getting low. I called her his personal assistant. They were so sweet.:cat:

They sound wonderful. I love the idea of hugging your face. You and your husband were so lucky they agreed to share their lives with you.
