Growing up, my father had an antique student desk in our home. We were having a yard sale last year and he said he wanted to sell it. We had 0 offers on it. A neighbor liked it so we said IT'S YOURS! She restained it to resell, can't get rid of it. I see ads for them all of the time and ppl can't unload them.

What antiques do you know of that noone will buy?

What kind of things are typically left unsold at the end of an estate sale?

    90s "collector" dolls....and 90s comics. :hilarious:

I keep having the mass-produced dishware conversation with all my female relatives. Yes, I understand it's "old" but great-grandmother bought this with coupons at a grocery store. Her and every other woman. I know she cherished this jug, but it was mass produced. There are 400 on eBay and not one sold. :dead:

Mancave wall art can sell quite well here, likewise the embroideries if they're good colours.

Sad Irons - When I first started going to auctions, they would occasionally sell. Not so much anymore. Heavy, rusty paperweights.

Uh, almost everything in my basement. I really need to get rid of it all. Ordinary EAPG, beautiful linens with flaws (stains mostly) that nobody wants, dumb collectibles (mostly leftovers from box lots), plus a lot more. Christmas Village houses. @verybrad I used to be able to sell unusual hammered aluminum from the 50s and then got rid of the rest to a scrapper for $5. I don't know if I could see it now.

I regularly sell milk glass at the local flea :) I never have florist or Imperial milk glass, mostly Fenton and Westmoreland. I agree, if I find a cake stand it sells right away!

Old sewing machines don't sell here, in or out of a cabinet. Anything made as collectables like Danbury Mint plates don't sell. I usually tell people who want me to buy them the best they can do is donate them to a thrift and take the tax deduction - that's if the thrift will take them!

Souvenir anything . Plates, cups, trinkets, spoons (unless sterling) etc . Apparently everyone bought something when traveling and no one ever wants it. I saw a little collection of that ruby flashed glassware that some lady had built over several years .Same name on them from like 1900 to 1920s. I almost bought them because I felt sad for them.It was obviously important to her yet there they sat for month0 unsold. .
