Featured Antique Wilcox Bird goblet, chalice. Silverplate. Date?

I am loving this goblet I found today. Adore older bird themed pieces. Quadruple plate and is stamped with a number on the base. Two sides have the bird, one seems to have gold wash, the other not. Do you think originally like this? Also curious about the age. Thanks!

Very pretty! Japonesque, so I'd say sometime in the late 1870's into the 1880's.

 

And I think the gold wash was on both birds originally.

 

What a lovely piece! I wonder what the bird is? First thought I had was a dove but then again the beak doesn't seem right....

 

He's a Disgruntlebird from the look of him. Since the decorations are Japonesque the bird may be as well.

 

Thank you Bakers, and all! Probably not huge value, the top and base are a touch out of round, but stands well and I'll keep it for a while, gold side out. I like looking at the bird!
