curious chairs. anyone know anything about them? I was wondering if they might be some type of transitional deco designer.[IMG]

    Guessing -
    1930s English? German?
They don't look American, but like I said, I'm just guessing.

Agree, not American. Kind of have a secessionist vibe to them. Could be as early as the teens but more likely 20s-30s. Hate those needlepoint seats with them.

The correct (period) fabric adds so much to appeal.

The needlepoint was added later to match someone's post-WWII interior. I'd love to see the matching table from the dining room set.

I wonder if the original fabric is still on the seat under the needlepoint
