Hello friends I am new to the forum and just came across an old antique tea cart I have that belonged to my Mother and have some questions about, And was wondering if some of the more experienced collectors could help me.

Does anyone know what kind of wood this tea cart is made from? Possibly Oak or Mahogany?

What would a tea cart like this be worth today?

    Below are some attached pictures!

    Thank you very much!

Drinks, not tea. That style is usually 1950s or so, but that's rather well made so maybe 30s.

I agree, but here in the States the States they are more commonly called tea carts. Particularly with that removable tray topper.................

Yes, tea cart here in the States. I think 50s or later. Wood appears to be some kind of tropical hardwood (maybe cocobolo). Often commonly termed as mahogany but it is not the kind of mahogany usually associated with the term.

at my house(s) as well.......................and it was called a drinks cart, NOT a rolling bar......................though that is what it was for all practical reasons...........

Sold one very similar, but was solid cherry from the 40's. Felt very fortunate to get $125.00 for it. Hard sell in Iowa.

Tea carts usually sell for around $75.00 here in semi-rural Illinois at retail. This one is a bit nicer so maybe you could do better. Also better in or near a large city.
