Featured Antique Southern Pottery

We just bought this antique southern pottery jar in Savannah, GA. The handles are a little different than what we normally see. Our gut feeling is that it is from Georgia or North Carolina. If anyone has any thoughts we'd love to hear them.

Send four or five photos to CrockerFarms. They will give you the best information on crocks.

Thanks, Crocker Farms has some amazing pottery. We had a "Chandler Maker" crock that I researched at Crocker Farms and Worthpoint.

 

Looks like Georgia pottery to me, but I agree about sending photos to Crocker. (I'm also impressed that you had a Chandler piece! I went to a local waaaaay out in the country auction at a tiny, old, run down 4 room house. They had a signed Dave pot. I figured the people standing around wouldn't know what it was and I'd scoff it up for pennies. It sold for $4600. The buyer flipped it at a high end auction a year later for 10X what he paid.)

 

We never got a conclusive decision but the most likely origin in North Carolina. A lower probability is North Georgia.
