Featured Antique Scottish Clan Brooch

    After a bit of research I've discovered this was made by RG Lawrie. I know its a Scottish Clan Brooch. I'm baffled though as this one has no Clan Moto, the ones I've looked at online, all have a Clan moto.

    I'd be very grateful if anyone knows anything regarding this.

    the casting is pretty poor...so maybe not any one particular clan..!

    I suspect that's meant to be the Lion Rampant of Scotland.

    I think it was once enameled, and the clan motto would have been in the enamel. That would explain why the belt is so rough.
