Antique Sarouk Oriental Rug Dating

    I picked up this 9x14 rug it has a older label maybe 40s or 30s? Any idea this is my first oriental rug

    What a pretty rug ! Id guess the tag was more 60s but Im often wrong.

    It doesn't say on the label, but given the name and the place for a "pattern", I suspect this is machine made and not a hand-knotted rug. The "Kara" in the name may be associated with Karastan.

    Mid century-not 30s/40s. Commercial but very nice IMO. Vintage, not antique.
