Antique Rocking Chair

    Hi All, appreciate your thoughts in this antique rocker. The private party says they purchased 10 years ago from a antique shop. They are asking $75. I found one comparable on e-bay for $1K that ebay seller is calling theirs 'antique tiger oak'.

    Is this a good purchase @$75? The seller says it's in good condition but delicate.

    What exactly does the seller mean by "delicate"? Is the seat veneer?

    It is a platform rocker BTW.

    To me $1000 would be a ridiculous price, but if you want an attractive rocker for $75 then go for it (after you find out what delicate entails). Looking for making big bucks on reselling it? Don't see getting rich off of it.

    It looks like one of back spindles was replaced. Maybe that's what he means - others could be loose?

    It's very handsome, but the market for rockers is at rock bottom right now. $75 isn't bad, but $50 would be better ;)
