Featured Antique rocker? Any idea on age or maker

    Looks to be mahogany, Empire Revival ca. 1900. Robust and sturdy. Fix up the finish with Howard's Restore-a-finish. Will last another century with minimal care. Take THAT Ikea!

    That is one hefty chair! It's going to be tricky to re-amalgamate that without staining the fabric. HeShe would be better off reupholstering after refinishing I think, based on my own clumsy attempts. The existing fabric isn't original so that's not a bad thing.
