Hi. I have a few old pieces of furniture I'm interested in knowing more about as Iv been told they're worth quite a bit of money, but still don't really know what they're all about.

Could you do some better pictures, and when posting select full image. Meanwhile, you can edit your first post to select full image.

    Welcome Dan!

While we're making suggestions to help you get the most out of your posts, I'd also like to suggest that you start a thread about your furniture under the Furniture section of the site. Many specialists confine their viewing to the category of their specialty and only come to this section on rare occasions. You'll get more informed input that way.

Very odd-looking. I can't believe those are real pieces of furniture; they appear to be made from parts of old violins, and recycled hardware, creating a sort of science-fictional look.
Any apparent age would appear to be artificially applied.
Could be part of a stage-set, I suppose.
But maybe better and more photos would show them to be from an episode of Dr. Who.......

Hey Dan....when some bloke tell you your stuff is worth ' quire a bit of money ', without telling you what it is that you've got......that's to be taken with a grain of salt !
These could be anything from lawn art to advertizing for a violin makers shop...

Maybe lawn art, or someone's idea of "Art."
Photo one, from the top down, includes:
the necks and scrolls of two old violins; four pulleys; half of an old mortise lock; and (possibly) a fisherman's scale.
    Photo two:
a violin tailpiece; (possibly) two pieces from an old cast-iron stove, or other decorative cast-iron pieces; two violin chin-rests; the body of an old violin, possibly fitted into a carved-out area similar to that in photo one; an old drawer-pull; two more pulleys.
Not any type of furniture I've ever heard of, sorry; and hard to imagine there is any value, unless signed by some famous artist.
Likely made (and perhaps posted?) just as a joke.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

To me, the second picture looks upside down.....is it??? Looks one of those "recycler artists" being creative.........This way up it looks almost like some one standing.......

I can see that; and the first also has a vaguely humanoid look if flipped....but it is a stretch....and I still can't see them as any kind of furniture. Maybe you could make them into lamps.
