It is an Osh Kosh trunk with several stickers on it. There are White Star Line stickers and some railway stickers as well. I do not know too much about steamer trunks but someone I know who deals in trunks offered me over 700.00 today right after I bought it so I figured I should do some research. Any help would be much appreciated. 160AAA91-FCD1-44A7-BBE8-CB8F725A60B1.jpeg 22853390-1697-4D2F-A829-406B4A2A0D08.jpeg 2892A649-E24C-4FDB-8FF0-8863A793B1A2.jpeg C4F9AFDB-B3CB-41C4-8240-4652F504E3D5.jpeg 076DA0BC-39DF-459E-839F-14E41F076014.jpeg View attachment 443706 View attachment 443707 AC950A3D-A313-4A1E-811D-282FA340A22B.jpeg 160AAA91-FCD1-44A7-BBE8-CB8F725A60B1.jpeg 22853390-1697-4D2F-A829-406B4A2A0D08.jpeg 2892A649-E24C-4FDB-8FF0-8863A793B1A2.jpeg C4F9AFDB-B3CB-41C4-8240-4652F504E3D5.jpeg 076DA0BC-39DF-459E-839F-14E41F076014.jpeg View attachment 443706 View attachment 443707 AC950A3D-A313-4A1E-811D-282FA340A22B.jpeg 3599DED8-A270-4D8E-A3A8-C10BA6E7305C.jpeg

    I agree... take the money!!
Trunks (other than Louis Vuitton) are generally a tough sell. I'd be lucky to get $25 for it. If it's sturdy, someone might like to use it as a coffee table.

Ditto-Trunks are an extremely tough sell. They're like 99% of the old sewing machines & typewriters. That said-1% of 1% of those can be worth some real dough.Rule of thumb w/ Trunks (as all said)-it's Louis Vuitton,Vuitton,Vuitton.

The man who offered 750.00 sells trunks for a living among other things and knows quite a bit about them. He would not offer that much if it had little value. He saw the photos. He saw something that made him think it was worth more than 750.00.

he could have a customer in mind.....

if you think cuz he offered 700....or even 750...( get yer story straight..) that it must be worth so very much more .... after what you've heard here.....then go for it....sell it yourself ....and let us know what you finally get !!!!

Could've been used by a very famous customer.I don't think ALL White Star Line items are priceless (but haven't Googled it lately-aside from the mini-sub tragedy).Unless Osh-Kosh trunks are associated w/the famous OshKosh line of workwear or some museum wants it for a very (expensive) reason.A def mystery ?

Why are you being so hostile? He did offer 750.00. He does sell trunks and other items. All I was looking for here is someone with knowledge of steamer trunks, not unkind responses. I wouldn’t be that way towards someone else here. The value of trunks can also increase based on the stickers on the trunks as well.

By gosh-Oshkosh ! Looks like that 1% of 1%-congrats,think you might've won this weeks Trunk Lottery...and I'll tell you-we Ebayers are universally frugal (as in cheap !).
PS-Unless this is some hyper-rare OK variant,3/4's of retail (or Baytail) is fair to generous.I always seemed to bump into Dealers who offered 20-30%,if that.
