Can anyone give me some info about this vase?
    Value?
15" tall to the top of glass.
2 sides have metal roses on it. vase.jpg
Bought this more than 40 years ago at an antique sale.
Was told it belonged to their grandparents parents.
Of course, do not know if that is true.
Thanks for any info : )

    Hi,
I remember in the 1960s these were very popular, if i remember right they were hobbists work. The metal work I believe came from Italy and then you cut the glass to fit different shaped holders.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Pretty... the style does look like it could be 1960s.

That is pretty! Have you looked closely for any kind of acid etched or engraved mark or signature on the glass?

It also looks like some of the wrought iron work done in Italy during the 1950-60 period (lots of leaves and roses usually). Also could be from Mexico. Hard to pinpoint this kind of work. Wrought iron has been done all over the world (and you can still find similar pieces made in China today).

Yes I did look very closely for any marks on all of it.
    there are none.
Do these have any value today ?
I still cannot find one other vase like this after lots of searching.
    Thanks for the responses!

Decorative collectibles can be hard to sell, especially a vase. People think DUST. LOL

If you aren't going to keep it, IMHO could be made more desirable by re-purposing and fitting it with a small bulb as a table lamp or night light if there is room to do it in the bottom. Any hole in the bottom or opening at one of the glass pieces (or could you make one)?

If it was mine, I'd shabby-chic it up a bit... paint the iron with white paint... a bit of rust or light yellow colored wash over that (maybe crackle it over the white) to give it an aged look. It would look nice in a blue/white (and /yellow) theme room then and lighten up the piece a bit? *shrugs*
