Hi, I bought this today and i don't know if it's a genuine chinese hand fan? Antique or vintage, valuable or not...?
    Thanks again.

It will not add to the value. This the kind of fan you put on the wall for decoration. It is not meant for use as a hand fan, fairly new, and not by anyone famous.

Yes, fans come in all sizes. Some antique ones are so small they are called 'imperceptibles'. The more recent large ones, like this one, are made for decoration.

No, it is not antique. It was probably made in the 70s or 80s.
Antique fans were never made for decoration, always for use.

The fact that it has "MADE IN CHINA" on it would suggest a date of the late 1970s at the earliest. And AJ is right: These fans were never meant to be used. They're wall-hangers. A fan meant for actual use would never be that big.

The painting and everything looks good.
The handwriting I can recognized is "(梅鹤图)picture of plum and crane, (辛未年)XinWei year,(丑月)December month"

So it is either made in Dec, 1931 or in Dec, 1991. I prefer Dec, 1991 based on overall condition.

Agree. Actually the calligraph has no signature. The round marking in the very left side is probably a manufacturer marking instead of artist stamp. ( Sorry, I cannot recognize the first chinese word. The second one is "Yi" which refers to art).
