Please help me identify this rare and unique item. I believe it is from the 21st century. Words in western English and symbolism are written throughout the piece, picturing some sort of red fruit and pastry. There appears to be a chef or cook above the word "BOYARDEE"

The material is an anodized porcelain aluminum with transfer pattern.

There is a maker's mark on the bottom, though I believe it is fake.

Any help identifying this remarkable artifact is greatly appreciated!

Please change your image setting to--just kidding; this was cute. I didn't look at the pictures first, so you had me going right up until Boyardee.

Of course, yours is late period Boyardee. True collectors focus on early period, such as the example shown here with its illustrious creator. Given that, IMHO yours is of edible value only.

It may not be clear in the original photo, great job btw @Dapunnisher , but I tweaked it a bit (hope you don't mind:shame:), and it seems the contents have vanished.:wideyed:
So I am not so sure about the edible value.....

The lid was removed to inspect the contents, which ended up in my belly.
I'll take the piece to a professional to have the lid re-attached.

    Hi,
In case you did not know but Chef Boyardee was the chef at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. He later came out with his own brand of pastas. He hired Alfred my neighbor
who became the Maitre De of the Oak room of the Plaza. Fred was there for many years. I have always wanted to write a book about him. Gosh I miss Fred and his stories of the Famous and infamous guests at the Plaza.

As I mentioned once before on this forum (on a different thread) I had a client in Washington, DC who was the grandson of the original "Chef Boyardee". Their name was actually Boiardi.

I beg to differ, I have never seen any overhere.:bigtears:
So maybe it will stand a better chance if dapunnisher lists it on an international site? After it has been restored of course.
And please, always mention in the listing that it has been restored.

HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU EVER FIND THIS!!!!!!!!

The Maker, Mr. Best By, hasn't even made this yet. I keep looking for old stuff and never even thought that there are things out there made in 2020. Great find! ;)

A word to collectors of fine ancient canned italian cuisine - the market has recently been flooded with generic fakes that pretend to be equal to the OP's item. Be on the lookout:
