Antique ink Drawings Signed WM

Hello to every body,receive my Best Wishes for this New Year 2023....With a Good Health before anything else.....
Here are 2 framed ink drawings that I have photografed rapidly...It is a long time that I was interested...But thought they had been sold...I beleive they will be put in auction in Pau this month....Those 2 satyric scenes are interesting and they are as well commented in english....Both are signed W.M
I think they can be 19th century....They do measure 25x18cm only drawings excluding frame....All seems authentic and Ancient....Maybe be a pale copy of previous drawings.
Tell me what you think,as I dont think I will be able to take more photos

A quick internet search brings up this satirical* print. The initials W.H. likely stand for the publisher William Holland.

Great & light-speed fast work as always Debora-yep looks poss Holland (but would be nice if Hogarth or Rowlandson ). Whoever by lovely sketches.

 

The British Museum's biography of Richard Newton, the artist, indicates a very short life span, 1777-1798, which means that he produced these particular drawings at age 17, in 1794!

PS-Would've been nice if initialed by Newton,but Publishers thru history have always assumed they own the entire creative process once a few coppers have crossed hands.

Clarification: You wrote that they are ink drawings. I wrote that if they are indeed ink drawings, it is possible that EITHER the artist Richard Newton drew them, OR that W. H. drew them, copying the original drawings by Mr. Newton. I hope this is clear.
