    hi folks

something i won yesterday at local auction, came in under £10 with fees

was sold as a chinese bronze incense burner, but didnt think it was chinese when i saw it advertised

i bought it as it looked in the style of the indian begging bowl i once found, and this is copper too

ive thinking they were only right about it being an incense burner ?

not sure about age or details, so any help would be greatly appreciated

    hopefully @Any Jewelry

wouldnt mind having a look for me :)

    any thoughts appreciated

    Kashmir and gorgeous.
Not sure on the use though, but I'm sure one of our excellent searchers will find it while I'm off for a bite to eat.:playful:

    Awesome thanks Aj :)

Did remind me of the work in the begging bowl, which I think was Kashmir, but couldn't remember that term

It’s a cool and interesting thing. But is that antique? I think I would have personally guessed a later reproduction/copy.

Seems pretty authentic to me mate, but we'll see what others think to confirm that

Think the work would be finer on a true antique. Can't think what this would be other than an incense burner.

I'd go with the kangri, the coal burner to warm your hands.:)
It looks much like a Kashmiri oil lamp I have, which the seller thought was early 20th century, possibly older. It looks and feels old, and I've never seen new ones.
