This is a cream & sugar set that has been in the family for quite a few years. I was told it was probably US but could not find this hallmark anywhere. Any thoughts on maker and age?

I wish I could say I knew what company this mark belonged to because the pieces look very nice, but I have not been able to find this mark in either US, UK or Canadian sources. But here's what I think - First of all, this is not a "hallmark" per se, it's a maker's mark. It is not a UK hallmark for sterling and it doesn't say sterling anywhere, so that makes it not Canadian or US sterling either. So now we're down to 2 possibilities - silver plated in the US or UK or (very unlikely) US "coin" silver. And this isn't the usual format for the coin marks look. So that leaves me with Silver plated, probably US, but could be Canadian. Sorry that wasn't better news.

Oh dear, you already knew about it being silver plate! Sorry to spend so much time on an exposition on what they're not.
