F11ACE33-61F9-4127-AC89-7E11E2815C24.jpeg These goofus glass vases belonged to my ggrandmother. All of the paint chipped off unfortunately. Does anyone know the glass maker, pattern name, or possibly around what date these are from? One is 9.5” and the other is 12.5” high. D585C570-BEAB-4F8B-AA2D-1EE9EA15A0FB.jpeg

Tell me the secret...I uploaded from my phone but it would not let me turn the photos the correct position...I'm a newbie!

I don't use a phone for pics so can't help you there. I downloaded them to my computer, right clicked on them & used 'rotate clockwise', then uploaded them here. Perhaps others who use their phones will be more help.

If all the paint has chipped off then I don't think it is anything other than a glass vase, the paint makes is what makes it goofus :(

You can check here to see if they show your vase:

I have to resize and rotate on my phone... I use Toolwiz...

@Jivvy has something she likes that resized multiples.

I don't actually use it, I just tested it to make sure it works. It does! :joyful:

Not your fault, only Apple products do this, almost as annoying as the Apple corporation themselves!

I've not done multiple at a time. Maybe someone else?

That site has closed down, but was saved in the Internet Archive.

The archived Goofus Glass Museum shows your first vase (single flower) in its "Vases 3" section as "Unknown - 12-1/2" Tall", with the placeholder of "V3H3", which I finally figured out means "Vases 3 - Row H - Third Vase Shown".

I didn't spot the vase with 3 flower blossoms, but I'll take another look.

The other vase is shown in Vases 1, also as "Unknown - V1F2".

OMG...thank you for posting this! Now I can see what they actually looked like at one time. This is awesome! I will bookmark that page and prob print out those pics of my vases. And as luck would have it, both of mine are "unknown" lol...Thank you again! Now, I'll see if I can come up with a time frame for these.

This copied from a web site:

"Historians have had a hard time nailing down the exact time frame for Goofus glass production due to the lack of documentation by the original manufacturers, but 1897 through the early 1920s seems to be a good estimate based on current research."

Making your vases a true antique (at least a 100 years old).
