    Looks artificially patinated.

    Why did you say soap dish in the title?

    About 5 in diameter. Found something similar online listed as soap dish. I think that’s real rust

    It's not rust. The green is often created when copper has been wet for a long time (the natural way) but this is so uniform it is most likely done artificially.
