Hi!...these are pics of furniture that I saw while looking of other things at a antique store last year.....there were 3 pieces that looked heavy and well made, 1 of the 3 pieces was a rocker....at first glace they made me think of the 1800's maybe?....the material looks like leather but I'm not sure....over the months I've wondered if I missed out on a valuable purchase....if anyone can shed some light on the age and origin of this furniture....that would be great..... rsz_brass_and_victorian_antiques_019.jpg rsz_brass_and_victorian_antiques_022.jpg rsz_brass_and_victorian_antiques_021.jpg rsz_brass_and_victorian_antiques_023.jpg

Parlor set, circa 1900. Whether or not you missed out would depend on the price. In general, not terribly valuable and a hard sell.

They do not look to me like outstanding design, but old construction does often seem to be more durable than new construction for the same price. Question of personal taste and preference.
