Antique French Doll?

Hi All,
Does anyone know if this 10-inch, bisque head, full dome doll is French or German and who the maker might be?
Her legs are wooden and she has pierced ears. Very hard to decipher the marks on the back of the head: possibly a "j" and "Q" or "S" and "a." I attached the close ups. Thanks!!

On the top of my head, I do not.

Biju.....perhaps darkening the head impression with a bit of cinnamon would help me read what it says.

I googled antique socket bisque head doll, and found none with the extended neck.

Local library might have a book on antique doll bodies.

I'm unsure if Antique doll clubs still exist, but if they do, perhaps you will get help from a member.

I individually turned all 600 pages of Coleman's doll encyclopedia looking for that body feature, saw none.

 

Will check in tomorrow to see any updates.

She does remind me of a Goebel doll my Mother had. I think my sister might have it. I will check with her.

It got LATE quickly, but I did what I could.....I've saved what I worked on and will try to come back to it, but not sure I can tomorrow what with heading to a Memorial Day party.....Here's what I did tonite.....shaded and sharpened different areas separately to enhance as best I could.....there are numbers and letters there, but I wasn't able to TRY to enhance individually with time constraints tonight, I apologize (BTW, this is all the 5th IMAGE down):

Thank you so much Aquitaine for the enhancements - great effort!! I'm still having a hard time deciphering the markings, but perhaps this will help someone else figure it out.

 

I know next to nothing about dolls. I do find that high neck torso interesting so did give it a go in looking. Didn't see it but I did wonder if it could possibly be a Lehmann & Cia head poorly impressed. No idea or about that torso.
