Antique Cinnabar (?) Vase Shows Great Age

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by Anthony Cultreri, Jul 8, 2021.

  1. Hi, and thank you in advance for your kind input. This antique cinnabar vase stands approx. 6 1/4” tall x 2 1/2” top & bottom diameter x 3 1/2” middle diameter and weighs in at a light approx. 7 ounces. It is redder in person than in the photos. There are several figures throughout. The bottom shows great age. The inside top is dyed black. Below that the inside looks earthen and rust colored. It does not show any seams or bubbles, which are telltale signs of reproductions. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

And I don't see any layering of the lacquer, but I do see some blobs.:(
