Antique chair

    Hi I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about this chair I'm trying to figure out whether it's English or Italian thank you

    If it is just a choice between English or Italian, I'd say Italian. If there are more options allowed, I'd like to hear;).
    Could we see the crest on the back of the chair? It looks like the crest of Herentals in Belgium:

    The chair could be from Mechelen near Herentals. It is a Belgian furniture town with a distinct style. I couldn't find a chair like yours, but you can see the Mechelen style here:
