Antique (?) butterfly table

    Hello Everyone,
    I’ve just moved recently to an apartment with better lighting, and I finally have been able to get a better look at a butterfly table my Nana gave to me. She said she bought it at an estate sale about 30 years ago, and I was hoping to get some opinions about it’s age, manufacture, etc.
    It has no markings that I can see, but nevertheless I have a lot of unanswered questions about it. I’ll post some pictures below, and if anyone has any thoughts please share!

    Lovely little victorian table,1870s would be my guess.

    Welcome, Andrew! I would call this a drop leaf table and don't remember ever hear the term "butterfly table." Where are you in the world?

    If it's in the UK, a bit earlier - maybe 1840s ish. Nice little thing.

    We do call them butterfly leaf tables.

    Bakers is correct, here this is a drop leaf table, not a "Butterfly" table. Americans did have butterfly tables once upon a time though in the early 18th century during our William & Mary period (1690-1730)
    American Butterfly table, Newport RI about 1735, these tables are very rare here
