Antique (?) Bronze Vase - Any Ideas ?????

Hello again !

I'd be very grateful if any experts out there would be kind enough to give their opinions on this vase which I recently acquired.

It appears to be bronze and is approximately 21 cm (c. 8 inches ) wide.

The casting appears to be quite crude, especially on the underside of the base.

I assumed that the vase could be possibly of Asian origin, but not Chinese or Japanese - although having said that, my knowledge of such items is extremely limited.

Can any better educated/experienced antiquers out there possibly shed a little more light on this item, especially regarding probable origin and possible age ?
